The Kung Fu Panda 4 new Sand and Spice trailer featuring Jack Black’s Po the Dragon Warrior teases his biggest challenge yet. It playfully acknowledges the recent release of Dune: Part Two. In anticipation of Dune: Part Two‘s arrival, Universal has launched a new Kung Fu Panda 4 fun teaser, capitalizing on the excitement surrounding the sci-fi epic. And it has paid off, as the teaser has generated significant buzz for the upcoming animated film.
Jack Black’s Po Gets ‘Just The Right Amount Of Spice‘ In Kung Fu Panda 4 New Sand And Spice Trailer
In the upcoming movie Kung Fu Panda 4, our beloved Po, voiced by Jack Black, is back for another adventure. This time, he’s on a mission to become the Spiritual Leader of the Valley of Peace and train a new Dragon Warrior. But things get tricky when a new villain named Chameleon, voiced by Viola Davis, enters the scene.
Universal Pictures has dropped a Kung Fu Panda 4 new Sand and Spice trailer to drum up excitement for the release. In this parody of Dune: Part Two, Po stands in the desert of Arrakis, resembling Paul Atreides, but with a twist – he’s holding a bowl of dumplings, his signature dish. With a nod to the famous spice of Dune, Po declares the dumplings to have “just the right amount of spice” before chowing down on them. This ‘Sand & Spice’ trailer gives us a sneak peek of the fun-action-packed sequel and reminds viewers that tickets are now available.
Returning alongside Jack Black are familiar voices like Dustin Hoffman as Master Shifu, James Hong as Mr. Ping, Bryan Cranston as Li, and Ian McShane as Tai Lung. Joining the cast are newcomers like Ke Huy Quan as Han, Viola Davis as Chameleon, and Awkwafina as Zhen, a clever thief and corsac fox.

Even though they’re not released on the same day, there’s a clear contrast in tone between the two films, like Barbenheimer last year.
The first glimpse of Kung Fu Panda 4 came out on December 13, 2023. The trailer introduces the story and new characters that Po encounters. On February 26, 2024, DreamWorks dropped the Sand & Spice trailer, a playful nod to Dune 2. Po enjoys dumplings in the sandy desert in this Kung Fu Panda 4 new sand and spice trailer. Mike Mitchell (known for Trolls and Shrek Forever After) and Stephanie Ma Stine direct Kung Fu Panda 4, produced by Rebecca Huntley.
