In what was the latest in a series of controversial changes to Twitter under his leadership, he announced on Sunday that a new logo, an “X“, would replace the bird logo today or tomorrow. As he announced the replacement of Twitter’s logo, he signified that Twitter would undergo a rebranding.
According to reports, X Holdings Corp is Musk’s new company name, after his early venture X.com, to reflect his vision for creating “X, the everything app”, similar to WeChat, for social media and payments. The Twitter’s rebranding would be Elon Musk’s latest indication of his tendency to announce big changes to the site on the hoof, with mixed results.
