Jamie Foxx is back to work on his movie ‘Back in Action.’ He is 56 years old and was spotted filming with Cameron Diaz on January 20 in Atlanta, Georgia. The actor is shooting back for the movie for the first time since a health scare in April 2023.
The ‘Sleepless‘ star and Cameron Diaz have acted together before in movies like ‘Any Given Sunday‘ in 1999 and ‘Annie‘ in 2014. Now, they are coming together again for a new Netflix film, ‘Back in Action.’ It’s not just the third time they’re acting together but also a special moment for the ‘Bad Teacher‘ actress. This is her first film since she took a break from acting in 2014. She wanted to focus on her family and start a wine company called Avaline.

Cameron Diaz and Jamie Foxx are working together again in a new movie called ‘Back in Action.’ Page Six and other media outlets spotted them on the set last Saturday in Atlanta, Georgia. This is the first time they’ve been seen together since Foxx, 56, had a health problem in April 2023.
Pictures obtained by Page Six show both actors looked happy. They were walking outside in regular clothes. Cameron Diaz, 51, wore dark grey skinny pants with a white shirt and cream cardigan. Foxx wore navy pants and a dark grey sweater. They even had the same white sneakers.
When Jamie Foxx went to the hospital on April 11, 2023, No one knew if he had more scenes to shoot for the comedy action movie. His daughter, Corinne Foxx, shared the news about his health on social media. Many famous people also went online to wish him a fast recovery.
After some confusing news about Foxx’s health, he went on Instagram on May 3, 2023. He told his fans he was improving and thanked them for their support. On December 13, 2023, his birthday, he thanked everyone again for their prayers, love, and support, saying it helped him get better quickly.

‘Back in Action‘: Everything to Know About the Film
Since the movie was announced, Netflix shared little about the story. But in July 2022, some sources teased the new action comedy, and it is just right for Cameron Diaz to return. This will be her third movie with Jamie Foxx. The one in charge of making the movie is Seth Gordon. He’s famous for making funny movies like Horrible Bosses, Identity Thief, and Baywatch.
Diaz and Foxx are not alone in the movie. Some other famous actors joined them. In November 2022, Kyle Chandler and Glenn Close agreed to participate. Then, in February 2023, Andrew Scott, Jamie Demetriou, McKenna Roberts, and Rylan Jackson joined the group.
They started filming in December 2022. Diaz and Foxx were seen filming in London. They did different scenes, like riding a speedboat and walking in a snowy forest. Later, they moved the filming to Atlanta. Diaz and Close were caught on camera while filming on a soccer field in April 2023.
In that same month, Jamie Foxx’s daughter, Corinne Foxx, told everyone on Instagram that her dad had a health issue but was getting better. Since then, Foxx has taken a break and recently started filming the remaining scenes for the movie.
The movie will be on Netflix, but we’re still determining if it will also be in theaters. We are still determining when it will come out, but fans think it might premiere in 2024 once it’s done.
